This is a spacesuit fitted with two cooling fans in the helmet. The cloth is actually white hockey tape (yup, a lot of it) over a pair of coveralls. If you try this, wear thick clothes underneath the coveralls when you're applying the tape - the costume shrinks a fair bit when the tape settles (crinkles). The backpack houses a little glowing green glob just because all astronaut suits should have glowing things on them. The helmet was pieced together from a plastic pumpkin, a toy fireman's helmet, some extra bits of plastic and of course a nice visor from a "junk" store.
