Bofur (The Hobbit)

Bofur was made by combining a sweater and jacket, and adding other clothing I already had. A hammer/axe (not in the picture) was created out of a foam one that was coated in silicone and repainted. The mustache/goatee was made from a wig. To get to the right character height in photos, I remove the boots and kneel on them, using the fur to hide my knees. The costume, along with a cardboard barrel was used on tour in Middle Earth (New Zealand) where I got to do some barrel riding down Pelorous River.
